Dermal filler

Injectable filler is a soft tissue filler that works to replace lost volume, boost hydration, plump, minimise lines and wrinkles and facial augmentation. They come in a variety of consistencies depending on the area being treated. People choose to get dermal fillers to enhance their facial features or gain a more youthful appearance. This elective treatment usually takes less than half an hour, and recovery time is minimal. Results are seen right away and last months to years depending on the type of filler and the location. Filler can be used in the lips, nose, cheeks, chin, jaw, temples, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and the tear trough area. Here at cut above aesthetics we don’t believe in a one size fits all approach and will always perform your treatments with full facial harmony in mind. Dermal fillers are a fantastic non surgical option and are suitable for most, however, dermal fillers should not be used by anyone under the age of 18, anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding,  clients with a history of anaphylaxis or an allergy to bee/wasp stings, clients with autoimmune disease, clients with bleeding disorders or who regularly take blood thinning medication, such as aspirin or warfarin or skin conditions/active infection at the injection site. Please note you should NOT get dermal fillers if you have any flights booked in the two weeks following treatment or any dental surgery two weeks following treatment. Please avoid ibuprofen and aspirin for at least 3 days prior to treatment.

Clients prone to cold sores should be aware that lip fillers may trigger an outbreak and pre treatment advice should be followed to minimise this risk.
